WindeX Investment Club (“WindeX”) announces the launch of a new entity in private capital structured as a club deal. A group of selected Swiss and Italian entrepreneurs joined the initiative participating to an initial closing.

WindeX operates with the objective of enhancing Italian SMEs which are excellent in their reference sector, with a strong propensity for growth and internalization and with the desire to open up to the capital markets, supporting their shareholders and management through the contribution of financial and managerial resources.

WindeX originates from the initiative of Rolando Benedick (Chairman), a Swiss entrepreneur, former Chairman of Manor Group (department stores), Valora Group, and board member of several international companies such as Moulin family’s Galfa Group (Galleries Lafayette and Carrefour) and Jacobs Holding, and Domenico Sibilio (CEO), an investor and advisor with extensive experience in extraordinary transactions gained in leading consulting firms, private equity funds, and especially in direct investments in SMEs, that he successfully managed and subsequently sold to international PEs.

The investment focus is on Italian companies with an annual turnover between 20 and 80 million euro, characterized by good profitability and capital strength, as well as ambitious development plans.

Majority investments are preferred, but with the active involvement of the partner entrepreneur.

The structure of club deal and the strong entrepreneurial background of the investors favor a highly flexible investment approach, with a medium-long term time horizon and a more industrial than financial outlook.

The WindeX team is already working on evaluating some interesting investment opportunities and in parallel on the expansion of the group of participating entrepreneurs.

WindeX is also supported by some leading Partners such as Helvetica Capital AG, among the leading Swiss club deals, which shares the deal flow and has the possibility to co-invest in some major dossiers.

Domenico Sibilio comments: “We are pleased of the positive feedback received with the participation in WindeX of leading international entrepreneurs who will give us the opportunity to invest foreign capital on Italian medium-sized companies, contributing, albeit in a small way, to the consolidation and strengthening of their competitiveness.”
